Glacierchange.com is an initiative of Mark Reysoo from The Netherlands. Below, you will read about the author, his motivations and goals.
Mark has a passion for glaciers. They include everything he finds interesting, like history, hiking, navigating, climatology and science. In 2024, he started glacierchange.com to share the beautiful landscapes, interesting stories and scientific insights he comes across. These glacier biographies are the result of long hikes, extensive research and browsing through many (online) archives. Mark keeps adding new stories, creating an ever growing collection of European glaciers in all their diversity. Important work, as climate change is threatening these unique environments.
